The latest addition to the Halifax County Department of Tourism’s inventory—TOURS. Our inaugural tour will take you down the winding country roads to an Amish village. Experience a sense of work and family ethics that continue to mark the Amish way of life. Tour includes a visit to an Amish grocery store, a wood furniture and craft workshop, a greenhouse, and a boxed lunch. Transportation provided in our air-conditioned 14-passenger mini-bus. This tour is scheduled for Friday, May 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The tour will depart from the Visitor Center (1180 Bill Tuck Highway, South Boston, VA). The cost of the tour is $20.
