Kids to Parks Day

Join us for an all day affair of fun! We will have a variety of activities throughout the day for kids of all ages.

Activities include:
- Archery: Never shot a bow before? Take your first shot today! Children must be at least 10 years old and accompanied by an adult for this activity.
- Wagon Ride: Tour the park in our ranger led wagon ride. Any of those burning questions you have about the park can be answered during the ride
- Backyard Bass: Have fun catching fish in our backyard. See how many you can get!
- Bug Hotel: Help our pollinator friends with a new home. Create your own at hotel for the pollinators in the area.

About National Kids to Parks Day

Virginia State Parks celebrates National Kids to Parks Day on the third Saturday in May by offering a variety of fun, family-friendly activities, from nature scavenger hunts and ranger-led hikes to fishing clinics and flora and fauna wagon rides. This annual event encourages kids to explore the outdoors while learning about wildlife and engaging in hands-on environmental education.
