Mulberry Hill Tour

Join our rangers for a guided tour of Mulberry Hill, the plantation home of Judge Paul Carrington, Virginian and Founding Father. This month we will focus on the McPhail Family and their history; the McPhail's resided at Mulberry Hill during the 1800s. We will also examine Mulberry Hill during the Civil War and the role Lieutenant Col. John Blair McPhail Jr. had during the war as well.

Each tour will start on the front porch of the house and will be approximately 35 minutes in length. Tours will run continuously from 12:00-3:00 p.m., with the last tour starting at 2:30 p.m. Visitors are also encouraged to walk the grounds around the house or have a picnic lunch at one of our seating areas outside after the tour has concluded.

These tours will include stairs and uneven ground. Pets are NOT permitted inside the house. These tours are FREE and require no reservations. Please call (434) 454-4312 for more information.
