The Civil Rights in Education Heritage Trail is a self-guided driving tour featuring more than 50 sites that revisit the hard-fought civil rights victories achieved by African Americans, Native Americans and women in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Halifax County is home to five sites on the trail.
