Lake Conner

Description

Lake Conner, a 100-acre lake in Halifax County, Virginia, is managed by the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. Located in the heart of rural Southside Virginia, the lake offers excellent fishing in a peaceful, wooded setting. It’s best known for holding the state record for largemouth bass (16 pounds, 4 ounces) since 1985.

Anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish, including largemouth bass, channel catfish, black crappie, bluegill, redear sunfish, chain pickerel, yellow perch, and bullhead catfish. To maintain trophy-sized bass, there is a “trophy slot limit” of 16-22 inches for largemouth bass. While expert anglers will find a challenge in catching trophy bass, beginners can also enjoy fishing for smaller, plentiful fish.

If you're ready for a quiet day on the water without the crowds, Lake Conner is sure to deliver.
