This LOVEworks displays the heritage of Halifax County. The “L” features a Revolutionary War soldier, paying homage to The Crossing ofthe Dan. The “O” is a tractor tire, a reminder of our agrarian roots. Celebrating the Blueway, the “V” is crafted from two canoes. Lastly, the checkered “E” represents the county’s tracks and racing history.
VIRGINIA INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

This LOVEworks sign features a “V” inspired by the shape of the track. The sign was designed by the staff at VIR and the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center’s CAD and Welding programs. The trailer that the sign is mounted on was donated by Virginia-based business, Pro-LineTrailers, a VIR sponsor and supporter of tourism.
SPRINGFIELD DISTILLERY

This LOVEworks represents Springfield’s past and future. The “L” pays tribute to the owners' love of craftsmanship. Springfield’s logo appears in the “O” atop an anvil. The “V” is made from two tobacco leaves, signifying the farm’s past. Lastly, the “E” sits within a barrel, representing Springfield’s current use as a distillery, over1842, the year the historic home was built.
