Carl, a college professor who grew up on a farm, and Laureen, a registered nurse, have been passionate about lavender since purchasing their farm. They have studied through Michigan State University and attended the Lavender Academy at Beagle Ridge Herb Farm in Wytheville. In 2021, they joined the Lavender Growers Association and launched Max Meadows Lavender Farm. Laureen’s lifelong interest in holistic healing and Carl’s research skills have fueled their deep dive into lavender cultivation.

You can find Max Meadows Lavender Farm products at the Halifax County Visitor Center, farmers markets, and pop-up events. The farm also opens on select summer dates for U-pick experiences.
