Carl, a college professor who grew up on a farm, and Laureen, a registered nurse, have immersed themselves in lavender learning since they bought their farm. Taking courses through Michigan State University and attending a lavender academy at Beagle Ridge Herb Farm in Wytheville, the couple joined the Lavender Growers Association and launched Max Meadows Lavender Farm in 2021. Laureen’s lifelong interest in holistic healing and Carl’s sharp research skills have propelled them to dive head-first into lavender love.

Max Meadows Lavender Farm products can be found at the Halifax County Visitor Center, in addition to the farmers markets and at pop ups. The farm is open select dates during the summer for you pick events.
