Staunton River State Park Disc Golf Course is a 9-hole course and the first to open in the Virginia State Park system. Designed to take players through scenic sections of the park, the course offers a mix of challenges, from wooded fairways to open spaces, with most holes connecting to the River Bank Trail.

The course features Dynamic Discs’ Veteran Baskets, approved for Professional Disc Golf Association Championship play, and eco-friendly 5’x10’ gravel dust tee pads framed with pressure-treated wood. Scorecards and course maps are available at the visitor center, where you can also borrow discs for free if you’re new to the game. A practice basket near hole #1 and nearby fields provide warm-up options before your round.

Hole #1 is located behind the visitor center, and standard parking fees apply. The Staunton River Disc Golf Course is a collaborative project by The Southside Virginia Disc Golf Association and Virginia State Parks.
