National Public Lands Day – Riverside Cleanup

Description

Join us as we remove litter and other debris from our shoreline. Staunton River State Park sits at the confluence of the Staunton and Dan Rivers. Where these two rivers meet is the beginning of the John H. Kerr Reservoir. As you can imagine, we have quite a bit of shoreline that needs tending to. Rangers and volunteers alike will be working hard clean up the shoreline along the Dan River. The park will provide trash bags and trash grabbers. Please bring gloves, closed-toe shoes, and plenty of drinking water. Parking is free at all Virginia State Parks during National Public Lands Day.
